Trish Backer-Miceli serves as the Vice President of Human Resources for Kelly Benefits. Her rich background in human resources includes over 25 years of industry experience working with various entities including MedStar Health, the largest health care provider in the Maryland and Washington, D.C. region.
At Kelly Benefits, Trish is directly responsible for overseeing the internal functions of the human resources department including benefits administration, recruiting, employee relations, performance management and internal communications. She works closely with employees at all levels of the organization to ensure that the overall staff’s needs are met in terms of benefits, and that employee relations issues are handled both fairly and in a timely fashion. Trish also partners with the senior leadership team on strategies to enhance the Kelly Benefits culture.
Due to her expertise in performance management, organizational development, team facilitation, talent management and recruiting, Trish is quoted in Finding Keepers: The Monster Guide to Hiring and Holding the World’s Best Employees, a comprehensive guide to employer acquisition.
Within the organization, Trish is a member of the Compliance team, ERP Committee, and the Retirement Investment Committee. Outside of Kelly Benefits, Trish is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and she currently serves on the Development Committee for Friends School of Baltimore.
Trish holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Towson University and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development from Johns Hopkins University. She is a Fellow in Change Management at Johns Hopkins University and holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from Georgetown University.
Trish and her husband reside in Baltimore County with their two children.
