An Unmatched Internal Underwriting Team
The KBS Underwriting team possesses in-depth knowledge and experience in performing calculations to determine accurate rates. This internal unit collaborates with our benefits consulting experts to provide these calculations, as well as thoroughly explain the funding rates and whether they entail maximum/expected costs or if they are based on another set of criteria.
Plan design alternatives are viewed through the lens of impact to claims spend and are often validated through actuarial analysis or direct claims analysis. The Underwriting team also works closely with our carrier partners to develop and refine those alternatives and has access to outside, independent actuaries when the situation calls for their input. This means you can have confidence in knowing that you have experts on your team who are advocating for you and your plan.
