Then we will delve into understanding the distinct preferences of different generations regarding healthcare, retirement plans, work-life balance initiatives, and professional development opportunities, empowering organizations to create inclusive and impactful benefit programs with Cheri Wheeler, Vice President & Senior Consultant at Kelly Benefits Strategies. In our final presentation of the day Kimberley Prescott, President at Prescott HR, Inc. will provide insights and strategies for effectively navigating Maryland’s Paid Family Leave law, ensuring compliance and support for employees during significant life events such as welcoming a new child, managing health conditions, or family member deployments.

In this presentation, you will gain an understanding of the Maryland Paid Family Leave law, designed to provide employees with paid leave for family and medical needs. You’ll learn about the entitlements for eligible employees, including the provision of paid leave for a range of qualifying reasons—ranging from welcoming a new child through birth or adoption to managing serious health conditions for themselves or a family member, as well as handling the complexities of a family member’s military deployment. The goal is to equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate these provisions effectively, ensuring your organization’s compliance and supporting your employees through life’s pivotal moments.


What is the cost to attend?
Individual registration cost is $50. Kelly Benefits clients may attend the event free of charge. Clients should contact their Account Management team for a free promotional code.

What are my parking options for the event?
Reserved parking will be available in the building’s main lot for the duration of the event.

Can I receive credits for attending?
This program has been approved for 3.0 HRCI and SHRM recertification credits.

What is the registration and cancellation policy?
Registration includes breakfast and all educational sessions. Pre-registration is required; availability is not guaranteed for walk-ins. Payment is required upon registration. Cancellations may be made up to one week in advance, afterwards, no refunds will be given, but substitutions may be made.
