23 OCTOBER 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. – David Kelly, Jr., Account Executive for KELLY Benefit Strategies (KBS) was nominated as a 2017 Rising Star by Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region on Friday, October 20th at the Living Classrooms, Night at the Point event.
Founded in 1985, Living Classrooms works to strengthen communities and inspire young people to achieve their potential through hands-on education and job training, using urban, natural, and maritime resources as “living classrooms.”
Living Classrooms’ Rising Stars are a select group of young professionals (under the age of 40) who are recognized for their professional achievements and philanthropic efforts. In acceptance of this award, honorees come together to raise important funds to support hands-on education and job-training programs that serve disadvantaged youth and positively impact the greater community.
David Kelly, Jr. is extremely active in the community, as he serves on the Maryland Family Network, Harlem Lacrosse and the First Tee of Greater Baltimore Young Professionals boards. David has always been passionate about Living Classrooms and their initiatives to serve disadvantaged youth as his grandfather, The Honorable Francis X. Kelly, Jr., Chairman and Co-Founder of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, and his uncle, CEO, Frank Kelly III have served on their board for years.
This year, the Living Classrooms’ Washington D.C. Rising Stars have raised over $17,000 to support Living Classrooms programs serving at-risk children, adults, and families in the D.C. region.
David is looking forward to serving the Living Classrooms community as a Rising Star this year where he will continue his philanthropic efforts and spread the word about the amazing things Living Classrooms continues to do for our community.
