LAUREL, MARYLAND – On Thursday, December 15th, 2016, Francis X. (Frank) Kelly III, CEO of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group and KELLY Payroll presented on the “Future of Payroll, Healthcare and the Affordable Care Act” during the 2016 CPA Summit hosted by the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in Laurel, Maryland.
The 2016 CPA Summit is a one-day event where CPAs learn from the most important voices in the profession and find solutions to push careers forward. Topics included leadership, technology, cutting-edge trends, and emerging professional issues.
Frank Kelly III focused on the possible changes to health care reform that many are anticipating under the new leadership in Washington D.C. He led a discussion on how a reform or repeal of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) could impact employee benefits and payroll reporting and presented strategies for helping employers navigate possible transitions while ensuring that they remain compliant with current regulations.
The MACPA has played a major role in shaping the CPA profession since its founding in 1901. Recognizing the importance of trustworthy financial information in a market-based economy, Maryland was the third state in the nation that created the professional designation of certified public accountant.
