Kelly Benefits Salutes Helping Up Mission’s Bob Gehman: A True Baltimore “GameChanger”

For more than 45 years, Kelly Benefits has dedicated itself to not only making businesses better, but to using our blessings of time, talent, treasure, and testimony to benefit our greater community. We were recently honored to nominate the leadership of Helping Up Mission (HUM), an organization that shares our values, for Baltimore magazine’s GameChangers edition. Now in its second year of publication, GameChangers shines a spotlight on the people and organizations that are working to create positive change in Baltimore.
We congratulate Bob Gehman, Chief Executive Officer of HUM, who was chosen to be featured in this special publication and recognized for his inspirational leadership and dedication to serving others in need. Under Bob’s leadership as CEO, HUM transformed a homeless shelter into a cutting-edge residential addiction recovery program that continues to grow and help more and more individuals across the region.
Kelly Benefits is pleased to be a long-time supporter of HUM and its mission aimed at providing hope to those experiencing homelessness, poverty or addiction. Since 2018, our CEO, Frank Kelly III, and his wife, Gayle, have served as co-chairs for HUM’s $61 million Inspiring Hope campaign to build a new Center for Women & Children in East Baltimore. To date, the campaign has raised more than $59 million to build the new facility, which will provide long-term recovery services and a home environment for up to 200 women and 50 children. The Center is slated to open and begin services in January 2022.
