Kelly Benefits Strategies Boosts Compliance Offerings by Hiring Jennifer S. Berman, JD

KELLY Benefit Strategies has hired Jennifer Spiegel Berman, JD to enhance its compliance consulting services. In dual roles as Senior Vice President, Compliance and ERISA Counsel, Ms. Berman’s primary function will be to provide consulting services to clients regarding ongoing employee benefit compliance issues.
In partnership with the KELLY consulting and account management teams, Ms. Berman will help design and implement innovative benefit strategies within the confines of the many applicable legal requirements now impacting employee benefit plans; including the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, wellness plan rules and other applicable statutes. She will also lead the KELLY compliance department, a team of professionals focused on ensuring KELLY’s clients are up-to-date on the latest compliance news and assisting them with compliance issues.

Ms. Berman brings with her to KELLY a decade’s worth of experience in private legal practice, and was named to the 2014, 2015 & 2016 Maryland Rising Stars List by Super Lawyers Magazine in the area of employee benefits and executive compensation.
In 1976, former Maryland State Senator Francis X. (Frank) Kelly and his wife, Janet, founded a small insurance company in the basement of their Timonium, Maryland home.
