Maryland Cycling Classic and UHCCF Bridges of Hope Dates Announced

8 November 2021

BALTIMORE, MD – KOM Sports Marketing announced in a press release last week that the inaugural Maryland Cycling Classic, America’s top one-day professional cycling race, will take place Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 4, 2022. The UCI ProSeries race, supported by UnitedHealthcare, will begin at Kelly Benefits’ headquarters in Sparks, Maryland and finish on Pratt Street at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

Kelly Benefits Strategies President John Kelly is serving as Race Chair and Kelly Benefits Strategies is a key sponsor of the event. “What drove me to do this and to participate in this is because I want to give back to our city and our state. I love our city … and cycling on an international platform is going to highlight the amazing beauty of our city and our county and our state in ways that people around the world are going to get to see,” stated Kelly.

The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) Bridges of Hope Ride, the official Chairman’s Ride for the Maryland Cycling Classic, will serve as the kickoff for the epic weekend of cycling events, which will include community outreach and cycling education programs. All funds raised from the Bridges of Hope Ride will benefit the UHCCF, which improves the lives of children by helping families gain access to the care they need through medical grants.

Further details on both events will be released in spring 2022. To read the complete press release, click here.
