Soiree with O.J. – A Night of Celebrations
6 OCTOBER 2017

COCKEYSVILLE, MD – Kelly & Associates Insurance Group (KELLY) celebrated the 48th birthday of former Baltimore Raven, O.J. Brigance and his 10-year ‘diamond’ anniversary of battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) on Friday, October 6th at the Valley Mansion.
O.J. was diagnosed with ALS in 2007 after experiencing a numbness in his arm while playing racquetball. Determined to continue to live his life to the fullest, and help others do the same, O.J. and wife Chanda created the Brigance Brigade Foundation.
The Brigance Brigade Foundation’s mission is to equip, encourage and empower those living with ALS. The Foundation does this by providing grants that allow patients and families to continue to live their lives in dignity and as independently as possible.
O.J. and Chanda emulate the belief of the Foundation that “All Things are Possible,” by intensely battling their disease when the average life expectancy for an individual with ALS is between two and five years. O.J. and Chanda believe that faith has helped them find the strength to stand up, accept their path, and decide the disease would not define them.
During the event, the Honorable Francis X. Kelly, Jr., Chairman and Co-Founder of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group and CEO, Frank Kelly III were awarded into the Brigance Brigade’s Champions’ Circle as Volunteers of the Year, having raised over $18,000 in the fight against ALS.
KELLY is a great supporter of O.J., Chanda and the Brigance Brigade Foundation as they truly believe in their mission, their goals and the undeniable impact that love and support has on an individual living with ALS.
